READING - There are 5 essential Components of Reading:
Phonemic Awareness, Phonics, Vocabulary, Fluency, and Comprehension

Phonemic Awareness: - The understanding and manipulation of sounds in spoken words.
Phonics - The understanding of the relationships with written letters and the spoken sounds that they represent.
Vocabulary -  Expanding knowledge of words - Learning the meaning, correct pronunciation, and correct use of words.
Fluency - Reading text at an appropriate rate of speed, accurately, along  with expression and phrasing.
Comprehension -  Good readers actively think while they are reading. They use strategies to help understand, recall, and retell what is read.
